General Robot Operator


Job Purpose

Responsibilities include cleaning, sweeping, mopping, assembling, lifting, moving, operating machinery when trained and offering general laboring assistance where required.

Responsibilities are varied and may include activities that assist other departments and personnel.

Day to Day operations

Reporting to daily team brief and carrying out all requirements set by the team leader in charge.

Principal responsibilities

• Machine and equipment operation including shot blast, automated weld, pressure washing equipment, mechanical saws, cranes and FLT’s.
• Assembly, fitting & testing of various products including but not limited to mechanical & electronic assembly.
• Weld preparation chamfering using hand tools and other chamfering equipment.
• Loading and unloading of robotic weld jigs.
• Able to work independently of the robotic programmer.
• Able to follow S.O.P (Standard operation procedures)
• Health and Safety conscious.
• Able to carry out basic robotic maintenance checks.
• Strong understanding of Kuka, Fanuc and Yaskawa robots.
• In house company test to identify weld defects.
• In depth understanding of robotic weld sets.
• Stud welding using automated welding equipment.
• Robot weld cell operation
• Etching & engraving
• Disposal of scrap materials into the correct locations
• Identification of product
• General Housekeeping and labouring tasks
• Any other duties as reasonably requested by your Line Manager, Production Manager or a member of the Senior Management team.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Desirable:

• Forklift truck Licence
• Crane Operations Certificate
• Engineering background
• Engineering experience
