Minister of State for Skills visits Armstrong Works

Reece Group was delighted to receive a visit from Nick Boles MP, Minister of State for Skills and Equalities accompanied by Guy Opperman MP for Hexham.

The Minister was interested in how the business was addressing its requirement for skilled employees. During the tour of Responsive Engineering the Minister met a number of the 50 apprentices employed within the business, located at Armstrong Works, Newcastle upon Tyne.

John Reece, Chairman of Reece Group outlined the group’s approach to developing skills and how a skilled workforce was critical to the success of the group. He welcomed the government’s activity in supporting the skills agenda.
