Responsive Engineering Shortlisted in Make UK Manufacturing Awards 2024
August 29, 2024
Responsive Engineering is thrilled to announce that we have been shortlisted in two categories for the Make UK regional Manufacturing Awards 2024.
Each year, the Make UK Manufacturing Awards recognise the accomplishments of UK manufacturers, celebrating their people, businesses, and company achievements.
The categories we’ve been shortlisted for:
Our submission in the ‘Business Growth and Strategy’ category focused on the growth of our business as a result of a people-focused strategy based on 7 core pillars including Upskilling, Knowledge Sharing, Retention, Progression, Grass Root Jobs, Social Value and Accountability. These pillars have been delivered by various teams across Responsive Engineering to ensure that change and our people focus would be a full site effort. To support our progress we have introduced new roles including an Operations Director, Learning and Development Manager and Continuous Improvement Manager.
Recognition in the ‘Developing Future Talent’ category links to our focus on Business Growth and Strategy. We currently have 24 apprentices across the business, with a further 15 due to join by September 2024. We have been accredited by EAL which supports us in the delivery of NVQs based around bespoke training courses that fit the needs of our business. Part of this includes a dedicated ‘Weld Academy’ in which our apprentices and qualified welders work with returning retired colleagues to learn new skills.
The North East, Yorkshire and Humberside awards dinner will take place later this year, where the winners of each category will be announced. Follow us on LinkedIn to be kept up to date with the latest awards news.
